Jewry received his Associates Degree in Theatre with more than 8 years of experience in the customer service industry. He spends most of his time at the gym because he believes that a healthy body is equal to a healthy mind. He’s described as a positive and energetic person. His favorite flowers are sunflowers.

Xianghua Ji (Jackie) is an aspiring speech-language pathologist passionate about helping children to find their voices and establish a bright future.

Jackie received her M.A. in Real Estate from NYU and her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Global Business from Mount Holyoke College. Coming from a psychology background has given her the chance to gain skills in communication. With extensive experience in the U.S. and China, her bilingual skills enable her to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Since 2017, she has worked as a part-time language instructor to help students practice pronunciation and grammar rules in Mandarin.

She believes she can utilize her clinical knowledge to do something beyond teaching. Her goal is to help bilingual patients improve their communication skills and quality of life. Furthermore, as a global citizen, she looks forward to promoting conversations between the worldwide network of speech therapists.

She looks forward to connecting with many first-generation immigrants like herself with her great interest in speech-language pathology. Being part of the Bilingual Speech-Language & Swallowing Therapy team will be her first step in this journey.

Emily Artiles is currently a senior at CUNY Queens College, studying to complete her bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders. After graduating, she looks forward to attending a graduate program in New York, to continue her journey to becoming a licensed Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist.

Prior to her switch to the field of Speech-Language Pathology, Emily attended a year of classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in which she concentrated on foundation courses in the Communications Design program. During her transition, she decided to bring her love for and experience in the arts to hopefully be a part of her identity as a clinician.

Emily has had experience with customer service for four years. She has served customers in both a retail setting and as an administrator.

As a native Spanish speaker, Emily is passionate about serving the Hispanic/Latino community in whatever capacity she can. She understands the value of helping families understand speech therapy and also knows how to guide them through acquiring services for their children.

Rocio Nino Ojeda

Rocio received a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the ITAE University of Colombia. She has more than 15 years experience working in the organization and administration of large and small companies. Rocio is also a specialist in construction and architectural design. Rocio is passionate about horses and cycling. She is a lover of freedom and spirituality. Her personal mission is to always be there to support her family and provide support for others.

Nugget, our very own speech “paw”-thologist is a Chiweenie with a very calm, patient, and happy demeanor. Nugget is great with children and a great asset in therapy. Her cheerful and calm demeanor supports and facilitates great language in our therapy sessions.

In her free time, Nugget loves to travel, go hiking, take naps, eat treats, and play with her “furriends.”

She brings a smile and a moment of happiness to everyone wherever she goes. Nugget is truly an educator at heart!
