Mei Ling León, M.S., CF-SLP, TSSLD/BE, received her M.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with a bilingual extension certification in Spanish from New York University. Mei earned her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from CUNY Lehman College and a B.B.A. in Business Administration from CUNY Baruch College. Moreover, she is certified in LSVT-LOUD.

Mei presented at the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) conference in 2022, sharing her expertise and research focused on advancing the field of speech-language
pathology through the NYU Swallowing Research Lab. Moreover, Mei has supported adult clients at RUSK Rehabilitation Center at NYU Langone Health, leading Aphasia Community Groups for individuals with acquired language disorders following a stroke or brain injury.

Throughout her clinical externship experiences, Mei has developed culturally responsive and evidence-based practices to best support her clients and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She completed clinical externships in a variety of clinical settings, such as public schools, private practices, and skilled nursing facilities. In addition, Mei has worked with a diverse range of pediatric and adult clients who present with dysphagia,
voice, literacy, speech, language, and social communication disorders. 

Mei has a passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan and takes the time to get to know each individual she works with, tailoring her inventions to their unique needs and goals.

When Mei is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and trying new cuisines.
