Meet Sharon Persaud


Sharon Persaud M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, is a speech-language pathologist with six years of experience treating both pediatric and adult patients. She has conducted speech therapy in schools, clinics, teletherapy, homecare and nursing home facilities.

Sharon received her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Adelphi University. At Queens College she found her calling in Speech Pathology; combining her love for science, communication, and linguistics. Sharon completed her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders at Queens College and her Associates degree in Liberal Arts and
Social Sciences at LaGuardia Community College.

Sharon is currently a full time tenured Speech Pathologist working at the Department of Education with school aged children. She has treated patients with autism, down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, apraxia, language delay, fluency, aphasia, orofacial myofunctional disorders, phonological disorders, and traumatic brain injury.

Sharon developed a passion for speech-language pathology having observed family members of her own receive speech therapy and seeing the progress they have made. She is passionate about making a difference in her patients' lives through communication because everyone deserves a voice.
